Good News! Dr. Cole just called and said that the MRI shows that the cancer cells are only in the area of the lump, not in any other part of either breast. Cancer may still have moved to the lymph nodes, but we won't know that until the surgery.
We have decided on a lumpectomy. He is setting everything up. The office will call me on Monday with information on the date and time. It will be soon.

Yeah! It was a good day. Next step, get this thing out. Please let us know how we can help you and Terry and the boys out when surgery is scheduled. Meals on wheels! Here we come :-)

Yes, good news! I'm continuing to hold good thoughts and prayers, as are many friends. Whatever help you may need, please let me know.
ReplyDeletelove ya! :) Debee
Hi Marie,
ReplyDeleteI am Deanne's sister in Oregon. I just finished (11/21) 33 radiation therapy (IMRT) treatments after also having 4 treatments of TC chemo. I had a Stage 1, Grade 3, Estrogen/Progesterone negative, Her2Neu indeterminate, KI67 30% .9cm tumor which had not spread to my lymph nodes. I had what they called a segmental mastectomy where they take a "piece of pie"-shaped piece out of your breast. My medical oncologist recommended the chemo because of the Grade 3, KI67 factors. It sounds like you have all the information you need, but if there are any questions I can answer or if I can help information or description-wise in any way, please let me know. Deanne can give you my email address. It sounds like you have a very good prognosis and very good and caring doctors. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Be well,
Janet
