I spoke to Dr. Paneras around 3pm on Tuesday. He has me scheduled to meet Dr. Cole (surgeon) Wednesday-today at 1:45 to talk about removing more skin. Apparently, this cancer board is directing my treatment, not the doctors I am meeting with. The positive twist is that groups tend to make better decisions than individuals. The board is also showing itself to be more conservative than Paneras. I'll check back later today, but don't be surprised when I give you a date and time for the skin removal surgery.
Terry keeps reminding me that this will all be done in a couple of months.

Marie, I am truly sorry that you are experiencing the fallability of the Doctors. I agree that the board is a good thing, but at the same time a little 'different'. I always have appreciated more than one thought or idea on an approach. It sounds like they are being honest with you which again, is a good thing (no surprises, unless it truly suprises them!). One last parting comment: you have the best attitude and this has been consistent in all the years I have known you. I think THAT is a key component to recovery as well....you got that one nailed!!!

You can handle anything that comes your way, this I know for a fact. Baby steps, one day at a time... You will get through this stronger! Look on the bright side, many doctors are bringing their expertise to the table for the best possible care.

Okay, I'm up to date now. I'm so sorry, I've been so preoccupied with myself that I hadn't been checking your blog! I will send myself to bed early tonight as punishment. And reading your blog on a daily basis will be a priority! Miss you and love you!
